Genius Lab

Participants propose innovative seed projects to win mini grants to fund the supplies and a spot in our Genius Lab class, where they will be mentored through the process of cultivating their idea through the many stages and steps of production.

Open (Ended) Studio

Provide space for kids to explore, tinker, and innovate freely with guidance and support.Unstructured studio time, designed specifically to inspire collaborative innovation. Collective members can drop in, tinker with other young makers, build connections and ideas.

SkillSHOPS

We call them “Skillshops” because each one is meant to help kids build the skills they need to create, build, engineer the things they imagine. Led by local teaching artists, kids will learn the proper use of makerspace resources and tools through culminating project-based classes led by local artists and artisan.

Art Derby SUMMER CAMP

During this week-long outdoor summer workshop, 8 - 14 year olds will learn about the functional elements of the car such as steering and brakes, design their own, then build it with recycled materials.. Who's to say a car can't also be a cat or a spaceship pr a cloud?
